. He will also be in attendance at schooling nights and at the 2012 Unaffiliated Showjumping Series.Howe Country Centre is now back to normal. Our new tenants have moved into the old small arena and we are operating the the large outdoor all weather arena and the large indoor arena. We have experimented with a different barrier system at the last two schooling evenings and this has been well received. It appears that we have the right solution should inclement weather mean we have to warm up inside. We are still very much open for equine business.Flatwork Training. Perhaps the most important part of any equine discipline. Since it has been known that Brian was coming to work at Howe Country Centre a few riders have asked him about Flatwork training and this is being looked into. However, it would be interesting to know the numbers who would be interested. Please intimate your interest by e-mail to Brian at

. TUESDAY CLEAR ROUND JUMPING - 2P.M. TO 4P.M.As from Tuesday, 24th January, 2012, there will be a change to the format for the clear round jumping. Any one combination on the payment of £7.00 will be able to warm up in the large arena and then jump the course as set. The combination will be allowed 20 minutes in the arena and every 5 minutes thereafter will be charged at £7.00. The warm up area will still be in operation but the solid barrier system has been replaced by smaller barriers which can be moved at either end to allow a full circuit of the large arena. Until warm up can be moved outside this will remain in place. TUESDAY SCHOOLING NIGHTS - CHANGE OF FORMAT. As from Tuesday, 24th January, 2012 the format will change for schooling nights. The evenings will not have a competitive nature and will be used for schooling. There will still be a course of fences but these will include fences that may be problematic i.e. water tray, stile, fillers, filler boards. There will be courses set at 65cms, 75cms, 85cms, 95cms and 1.05cms. Each course will be jumped twice by each competitor and double clears will collect a rosette. Should there be a need for higher fences on a particular evening this will be accommodated. The intention is to allow riders to attempt problematic fences without the pressure of competition. Brian Watson will be on hand each evening to assist riders in completing the courses. It will be the riders choice if they wish to leave a particular fence out of their round. Please view the schedule on the calendar. Should anyone have a particular request they can contact Brian on 01337 831244, Mobile 07921681853 or by e-mail at
